The Japanese electronics giant, Panasonic announced a record annual loss of 780 billion yen, about 10.2 billion dollars.

The announcement comes after Sony and Sharp have announced cumulative losses at about $ 6.7 billion.

Panasonic predicted poor outcomes due to a strong rupee, floods in Thailand and high acquisition costs.

Panasonic and other manufacturers in Japan face the same problem caused by very strong currency, but have difficulties due to competition from other countries, South Korean manufacturer, Samsung.

Japanese company is the fourth TV manufacturer in the world after Samsung, LG Electronics and Sony. Panasonic shares fell 45% last year, reaching the last 30 years minimum.
